Luxury Cars Unite Elite Athletes: LeBron James' Mercedes-Maybach S680 Up for Charity Auction

In the United States, figures from various elite sports have been coming together, and it's clear this gathering means one thing: a plethora of luxury cars. We recently saw this with Lionel Messi, and now it's time to discuss another American sports star, LeBron James. The NBA player is a huge car enthusiast, but his latest collection piece will be auctioned off for a charitable cause. Although technically not his own, we're talking about a second, identical unit. The Lakers player, who is searching for a new ride, will have to put his search on hold to attend the auction where someone will take home the same Mercedes-Maybach S680 he has in his garage. It's fully customized by the basketball star, and now another owner will join him for this luxurious garage piece.

All car lovers have dreamed of getting their hands on the garage of any elite athlete at some point. Most of these, regardless of the sport they play, are true motor enthusiasts who showcase their passion with top-level garages. Cristiano Ronaldo recently proved this with a social media post showing multimillion-euro sports cars in his collection.

Now it's time to talk about LeBron James' garage, not for a new addition, but for a purchase we've discussed in the past - a fully customized Mercedes-Maybach S680 to his liking, with details in every area of the vehicle, both inside and out. This unit is back in the spotlight because the second identical model being produced will go up for auction. When the Lakers star first showed off this car to his fans, he commented that another exact unit could be owned by one of them. And now this moment has arrived, as this model from the celebrity's brand will be presented at the Monterey Car Week, followed by the charity auction.

All proceeds from this second unit of the model the player has in his garage will go to the LeBron James Family Foundation. This organization focuses all its work on supporting, educating, and providing daily resources to the most disadvantaged families and children in LeBron's hometown of Akron, Ohio. The city where the NBA star was born will receive great joy thanks to this Mercedes.

The LeBron James-customized Mercedes-Maybach S680, a hybrid lightweight car with a V8 engine reaching 621 horsepower, will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the LeBron James Family Foundation.
