Spain unveils 26.9 million euro highway link to boost road network
Spain's Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has announced plans for a new 26.9 million euro highway link aimed at improving connectivity between key road networks in the country.

Robledo junction to unite ruta de la plata and autovía de la industria
The project, which has been given the green light, involves the construction of an additional road connecting the A-66 (Ruta de la Plata) and AS-II (Autovía de la Industria) highways in Asturias. This new junction, dubbed the Robledo link, will create four new access routes between the two major highways.
These new connections will allow for smoother travel between the cities of Oviedo and Gijón, which are currently linked by the AS-II highway. The project is expected to significantly enhance the overall road network in Asturias.
Spain's Autovía network, managed by the Principality of Asturias, currently spans 79,720 kilometers of high-capacity roads without tolls. The region boasts four regional highways, with two having their own names - AS-I (Autovía Minera) and AS-II (Autovía Industrial).
