Mini revives iconic collaboration with paul smith for 2026 edition

Mini has announced a revival of its celebrated partnership with British designer Paul Smith, unveiling the 2026 Paul Smith Edition based on the latest generation Mini Cooper. This special release harkens back to the original model from the 1990s, updated with contemporary technology and a fresh aesthetic.

The collaboration sees Smith’s distinctive design language applied to the new Mini Cooper, resulting in a visually striking vehicle. A deep blue exterior, reminiscent of the 1998 original, is complemented by lime green accents on the grille surround, interior details, and trim. The interior retains a minimalist feel but incorporates exclusive touches like a large circular OLED display that merges multimedia and instrument functions. Contrast stitching, unique surface finishes, and a color palette incorporating blues, greens, and yellows further reinforce the car's identity.

Industrial design influences are also evident, with satin-finished metallic controls and surfaces evoking classic mechanical tools. The car features the Mini Operating System 9, built on Android and optimized for the circular display.

The Mini Paul Smith Edition is available in various body styles and engine options. Pricing starts at €31,915 for the MINI Cooper Electric (E version) and €34,615 for the SE version. The Cabrio models begin at €38,030 and €40,730, respectively. The 5-door Cooper starts at €35,110, with the Cooper S priced from €37,800. The 3-door Cooper Edition kicks off at €34,110, climbing to €36,810 for the S variant.

This isn't just a cosmetic refresh; it's a potent blend of heritage and innovation. The 2026 Mini Paul Smith Edition isn't merely a car; it's a statement.
