Max verstappen's passion for motorsport runs in the family after father jos suffers rally crash

Four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen's love for cars is no secret, and it's a trait he inherited from his father Jos. While Jos hasn't replicated Max's F1 success, he's far from retired, competing in various disciplines including rallying this year.

Despite a tumultuous current F1 season, Max has hinted at potentially retiring from the sport. However, his passion for racing won't disappear completely, as he's already shown interest in other motorsport areas.

Last weekend, Jos Verstappen was competing in the Belgian Rally of Valonia, driving a Škoda. He started strong but tragedy struck when he lost control of the car on a dirt section, causing it to flip and crash into the side of the road.

Fortunately, both Jos and his co-pilot Jasper Vermeulen escaped the wreckage unharmed. The accident ended Jos's rally hopes for the weekend, but he'll have another chance to redeem himself in future events.

Notably, Jos will also be in Miami supporting Max as the F1 series returns from its summer break. The Verstapen family's shared passion for motorsport remains strong, despite the ups and downs of their individual careers.
