KGM Launches Aventura Adventure Packages for Musso and Rexton

KGM has introduced Aventura adventure packages for its Musso pick-up and Rexton SUV, catering to off-road enthusiasts. The Rexton receives significant upgrades to enhance its off-road capabilities.

Rexton Aventura: Enhanced Off-Road Performance

The Rexton Aventura package includes a 4.5cm ride height increase, a specific aluminum skid plate, and Öhlins double-adjustable shock absorbers on all four wheels. It also features widened tracks to 1.700mm, new Braid wheels with BF Goodrich tires, and roof rails. While maintaining the standard Rexton’s interior comfort, the package doesn’t include additions like a pillar A grab handle for easier access.

On-Road Driving and Performance

The Rexton Aventura offers a 202hp four-cylinder diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While providing adequate power from low speeds, it doesn’t offer exceptional agility. The suspension effectively absorbs bumps, though some creaking is noticeable, reflecting its off-road focus rather than urban refinement. Fuel consumption can be high in urban environments, exceeding 10 liters per 100km.

Off-Road Capabilities

The Rexton Aventura excels off-road, thanks to its robust suspension, grippy tires, and smooth steering. It’s capable in rear-wheel drive and offers all-wheel drive, a rear differential lock, and a low-range gearbox for challenging terrain. The Aventura package provides a practical and reasonably priced off-road solution.
