Ferrari laferrari of felipe massa heads to auction

The Ferrari LaFerrari, one of the most coveted hypercars among collectors, is set to cross the block, with an estimate of £4.8-£5.3 million. This particular example, once owned by former F1 driver Felipe Massa, boasts a unique specification and a mere 4,000 miles on the clock.

Massa's laferrari: a rare gem

Massa, who spent eight consecutive seasons racing for Ferrari between 2006 and 2013, received this LaFerrari as a thank-you gift from the Scuderia for his loyalty and dedication. The car's black Nero exterior is accentuated by bold Rosso Corsa stripes along the front splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser.

Inside, the hypercar features a personalized plaque between the seats inscribed 'Grazie Felipe', signed by then-Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo. Massa himself also put his signature to the carbon fiber dashboard.

Originally registered in Monaco, the LaFerrari has led a life of luxury, with just 4,000 miles under its belts. A comprehensive service by Ferrari's authorized dealer in Denmark has ensured the car remains in pristine condition.

RM Sotheby's, the auction house handling the sale, notes that Massa's LaFerrari is one of the rarest and most desirable examples of the 499-unit production run. Its exceptional provenance, combined with its impressive low mileage, is expected to drive up the final hammer price.
