Ferrari f355 returns: evoluto unleashes a modern legend
Maranello’s legacy continues. Evoluto, the British firm, has completed its ambitious reimagining of the iconic Ferrari F355, exceeding initial expectations. The result? A potent blend of classic design and modern performance.

Evoluto refines a 1990s icon
The project, initially showcased in the racing game 'Need For Speed,' has evolved into a tangible reality. Evoluto has taken the 3.5-liter V8 engine from the original F355 and injected it with a healthy dose of performance upgrades. The engine now delivers 420 hp, a significant jump from the 375 hp of its predecessor in 1994. This boost comes from revised internal components, bespoke camshafts, redesigned cylinder heads, and a new stainless steel exhaust system.
But the enhancements don’t stop there. For those seeking even more thrills, Evoluto offers a more aggressive 3.7-liter V8 variant producing 474 hp, revving up to 9,000 rpm. This version boasts ‘extreme’ camshafts and a more potent fuel system, all managed by a newly developed ECU.
Visually, the restomod features subtle but impactful changes. The front end is 77mm wider, and the rear fender is 66mm larger, giving the F355 a more muscular stance. New stabilizer bars and upgraded Brembo brakes with six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers ensure improved handling and stopping power. Even the wheel bearings and driveshafts have been refined for reduced weight and enhanced durability. Boreham Motorworks is responsible for the suspension, employing adjustable R53 dampers for optimal performance.
Inside, the cabin receives a modern touch with a faster steering ratio, improved power steering, and extensive use of carbon fiber. The retro aesthetic is maintained, eschewing touchscreens for a more classic feel, although a revamped climate control system is a welcome addition. The 55-unit production run is slated to begin later this year, with prices expected to start around €676,000. A considerable investment, but perhaps a worthy one for those seeking a truly unique piece of Automotive history.
